Paris Saint-Germain vs Arsenal Preview
How did each team reach the Champions League final?
After finishing 11th in the League Phase, PSG were forced to partake in the play-off round, in which Enrique’s men only just edged past domestic rivals AS Monaco.
The Parisians won 5-4 on aggregate following a nervy 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes in the second leg.
That result set up consecutive ties against Premier League opposition, where PSG flexed their muscles. An 8-2 thrashing of Chelsea across two legs was followed by a 4-0 aggregate victory over Liverpool in the quarters.
PSG were then drawn against Bayern Munich in the semis, a contest which will live long in the memory.
The French side claimed a thrilling 5-4 win on home soil, before grinding out a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena to book a spot in Budapest.
For Arsenal, the path to the final was made a little easier by their first-place finish in the League Phase, the Gunners winning all eight of their matches.
Arteta’s side beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 on aggregate in the last 16, before claiming a narrow 1-0 victory over Sporting Lisbon in the quarters.
The Gunners saw off Atletico Madrid in the semis, Bukayo Saka’s strike in the second leg at the Emirates securing a 2-1 aggregate win.
Recent results
PSG lost 2-1 to local rivals Paris FC last weekend, though the Ligue 1 crown had already been secured thanks to a 2-0 win at Lens in the previous fixture.
After suffering what many believed to be a damaging 2-1 loss at Manchester City, Arsenal won their final five Premier League matches of the campaign to secure the title for the first time since 2003-04. Arteta’s men beat Newcastle (1-0), Fulham (3-0), West Ham (0-1), Burnley (1-0) and – most recently – Crystal Palace (1-2).
Head-to-head record
These two sides met in last season’s semi-finals, PSG following up a 1-0 victory at the Emirates with a 2-1 success at the Parc des Princes.
It means Arsenal have won just one of the five Champions League editions of this fixture, which was a 2-0 triumph in the 2024-25 League Phase.
Team news
Achraf Hakimi is the major fitness concern for PSG, with the right-back picking up a hamstring injury in the first leg vs Bayern. Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele is also a minor doubt, though it is expected he will feature in some capacity.
Ben White is certain to miss out for Arsenal, which poses Arteta with a significant issue at right-back. Jurrien Timber remains a huge doubt after missing two months of action, meaning the Gunners boss may have to rely on Cristhian Mosquera. Winger Noni Madueke should be fit and available, despite exiting the field prematurely vs Palace.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Arsenal Betting Tips
Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.70
PSG’s incredible attacking power is sometimes supplemented by some lacklustre defending. Enrique’s side have kept only two clean sheets in the last six matches, so the BTTS market could be one to pursue for this fixture.
Anytime goalscorer – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia @ 3.20
PSG’s Georgian prince has been nothing short of sensational in the Champions League this season. Kvaratskhelia has 10 goals in 15 appearances after netting a brace in the famous 5-4 win over Bayern. Furthermore, he scored in three of the four matches vs Chelsea and Liverpool in the knockout rounds, as well as in last year’s final vs Inter – stats which bode well for this bet. Oh and it helps that Arsenal are struggling for bodies in the right-back department!
Player to score or assist – Bukayo Saka @ 2.40
Saka has looked back to his best in recent weeks, claiming three goal contributions in his final three Premier League appearances of the campaign. The England international also has five contributions from 10 Champions League outings in 2025-26, and scored vs PSG in last season’s semi-final second leg. If the Gunners are to get on the scoresheet in Budapest, you feel Saka will play a leading role.
